Bob Crants

Founding Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Bob Crants is a Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Pharos Capital Group.

Mr. Crants is responsible for setting the firm’s investment and risk management strategy, developing targeted investment themes, supervising the transaction structuring process and fundraising. Mr. Crants is a member of the investment committees of Pharos’ funds and currently serves on the boards of Complete Healthcare Partners, Family Treatment Network, FasPsych, Sanderling Renal Services, Seaside Healthcare; Sona Dermatology, and Vantage Surgical Solutions.

Mr. Crants has been directly involved in private equity investments for over twenty-five years. Prior to founding Pharos, Mr. Crants was with Goldman Sachs, a member of the Equity Capital Markets group. From 1997 through 2000, Mr. Crants was the President and on the Board of Trustees of Prison Realty Trust, a New York Stock Exchange traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

Mr. Crants graduated from Princeton University with an A.B., summa cum laude, in Economics. While at Princeton, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded the Halbert White Prize in Economics and the John Glover Wilson Memorial Award. Mr. Crants is based out of the firm's Nashville office.
